We know that starting therapy or finding the right support can come with a lot of questions. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common inquiries about our services, approach, and what to expect. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, we’re happy to help!
In your first therapy session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and understanding your concerns, goals, and what brought you to therapy. It’s a relaxed and collaborative conversation where we’ll discuss your history, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the therapy process and ensure you feel comfortable moving forward. Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment from the very beginning.
Therapy can be beneficial for anyone looking to improve their mental health, manage stress, strengthen relationships, or work through personal challenges. You don’t need to be in crisis to seek counselling—it’s a proactive way to build resilience, improve self-awareness, and develop healthier coping strategies. If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, consider scheduling an initial session to explore how it could support your goals.
The length of therapy varies based on your unique needs and goals. Some people find a few sessions helpful for addressing specific concerns, while others prefer ongoing support for deeper, long-term growth. During your first few sessions, we’ll discuss a treatment plan that feels manageable and aligned with your personal journey. Whether you’re looking for short-term guidance or long-term healing, we’re here to support you at your own pace.
